help in identification

hello all,
I am trying to grab some more details about the cup in the attached document - I got it as a conservation project, but the owner couldnt provide any further deatails which I need for my report (like manufacturer or date). maybe you can help me?

Given the mark, I would guess Southeast Asia somewhere and latter 20th c?

 

thank you! could you please give me some parallel or a reference to recite? I need to include some information aboutthe origin in my report, and I'm a bit lost...

 

My thought was East Asia, more specific Japan or China, but I am no porcelain person.
Maybe @clutteredcloset49 or @say_it_slowly know the mark?

 

It appears to be a 1960ish cup missing the saucer. Probably had an oval sticker "Made in Japan"
So a Japan import.

Finding the original maker will be difficult. Export companies put their marks on products that they bought from the manufacturer.

I have no solid reference. Only years of looking at things.

 

I'm sorry I can't help, I did look for the mark without finding it. I'd guess Japanese too but don't know.
