[QUOTE="TT Antique, post: 222229, member: 2653"]Hi All I put this as part of another thread I started but it seems fit to start a new one to avoid confusion. Recently I acquired a vintage color repro print of the Grimani Breviary illumination series (month of July) ..after I removed it from its nice vintage frame it has a text print at the back either in Portuguese or Spanish. Apparently it is related to a Spanish politician, diplomat and writer during the spanish civil war (and afterwards) by the name Jose Antonio Gimenez Arnau. I am not sure whether the text was part of his writings..the theme appears to be the spanish civil war politics and entitled AGOSTO ..and the front of the paper is the July Grimani Brevieary color print. The color print is this one from wiki and I have attached the photo of the back text.Any ideas are appreciated about the nature of this print, Thanks!
