OK this is one of the coolest, and still ugliest, things I've seen in a while! It was in a box of jewelry that had belonged to me mom.
I believe it would be described as Brutalist style?
But the most unusual thing is - it has no marks or signature on it anywhere!
    Any thoughts?
    Thanks all!

I LOVE IT! I have some similar rings that the artist informed me were made from melting bronze coil with an acetylene torch.

Right click on photo (in computer) and click on 'Resize' - then click good for email size! (Don't feel like the Lone Ranger; I had to learn too!)

The stone looks like ruby in zoisite. There appears to be solder blobs in different areas and casting bubbles.

If you don't like it, I would be happy to take it off your hands. I will give it a little TLC and it will look awesome. I have a figure like that, also, that hung on my outer ear...an ear cuff? 80s? Either way, beauty IS always in the eye of the beholder...and yes, it is brutal. :cyclops:

"i need help" has nailed it! I think it's great and it is described as brutalist.
The prices are not too shabby, either!

I’m sort of in the midst of something, that was just the first similar one I found. I’ve not looked into his signature or mark, yet.

Pal Kepenyes jewelry looks professionally made and the OP's ring would be a poor example for a college student.

To each his own. Journeymagazine's piece may just need to be cleaned and polished. The middle example above shows the variations in the metal colors, and the raw figure, and the thick band...but I could be wrong.
    Perhaps, it was an apprentice?

Old thread, but just found it, and this is definitely a brutalist Pal Kepenyes piece, and I wouldn't let go of it for less than $2k if I were to sold it. It's a beautiful piece!
