Tried to take photos myself again...very difficult (no clarity). Again, it looks much better in real life!

But I still don't know what it is...

Now I found information that this is a wreath of victory. But it is presented to Jupiter by either Nike or Victoria…in all the intaglios that I found, wreaths are presented only by Nika or Victoria. And in our case, Ganymede.
Another question, why is he depicted pouring? Is wine pouring from a wreath?)) strange…

Here is another plot from the collection of Stanislav Poniatowski. But this is the 18th-19th century.

And on this intaglio the carving is kind of crude...the figures look static (as if dead). There is no plasticity at all.

Does anyone know how to clean intaglio from these black and yellow inclusions (they said it was wax)..?

I cleaned the intaglio beautifully, just under water and rubbed it with a brush. Now it's clean and looks simply masterpiece!

    Cleaned intaglio.

In a few days I'll go buy some artistic plasticine and make a print.
