Help needed from Ancestry member please!

We’re helping to put a 50th Anniversary book together for my class, the US Naval Academy Class of 1971. We need an obituary for one deceased member, William Michael Ecker. He may have died in Florida in 1996, but I’m not sure. He would have been born about 1949.

Spring, I don't have Ancestry, but here's a newspaper blurb:

William M. Ecker, 45

William Michael Ecker, 45, of Rancho Mirage, died March 15, 1996, at his home. , He was born March 21, 1950, in Pensacola, Fla., to Hazel Kathryn Daley and William Boyce Ecker. Mr. Ecker was a banker at the First Texas Commerce Bank for 10 years and at a firm in Delaware. A graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, he was a naval officer for seven years. Mr. Ecker was active in the Houston AIDS Foundation, Survivors include his parents, of Alexandria, Va.; and two brothers, David and Richard Ecker, both of Virginia. - Burial will be private.

Yeah, well...

DH has been binge-watching some sort of Sci Fi marathon on Amazon Prime ALL DAY today, and I've completed all of my own intended projects for the day, so I was just looking for something else to do!

(I don't mention it often, but I did work as a researcher - and teach research skills at a high-end boarding school - for almost 15 years, so when I have time to do it, I'm actually not bad!)
