Help needed with Bavaria porcelain

Hi everyone,

I have an old Bavaria tableware and I would like to know more about it.
Can anybody ID the factory/city or date it please?

Can't find the mark in my old books nor online and they are quite fresh underneath which might mean they are reasonably modern. I'm no expert but I would hazard a guess at mid last century or later. Better wait for the experts.

might be Gebrüder Winterling in Röslau.

It looks indeed like the Winterling mark, but the "R" is missing and what could be the meaning of the letter "M" below the crown?

 

Just a guess but it's still possible the mark is Winterling. The company is quite large and it's possible the M indicates another factory that produced under the Winterling name. Not all variations on marks have been documented. Someone more familiar with Winterling may be better able to untangle it for you. I'd further guess between the World Wars based on the mark and the style.

I have a tea set with very similar mark that belongs to my mother-in-law. All we know is that her neighbor who was a war brid from Europe brought it over with her when she came. It is pre WWII. The marking is Similar but does not have the M or the 42. It is also missing the R which is very common with the Winterling mark. I would apprciate any in information.

 

The 42 is most likely to be a "shape number" and does not identify the maker.

 

We need to see a picture of the mark on your mother-in-law's china to help you.
