    Hi all,

Came across a vase a long time ago that we kind of forgot about till having a clear out.
Have spent the last few days trying to educate myself on pottery marks but cant get my head around them.. so....
Wondering if anyone has any experience with Chinese ( if that is what it is !! ) markings or can point me in the right direction, or can tell me if in a presonal opinion it is even worth getting appraised for insurance purposes.
Any help is appreciated.. Vase1.jpg Vase.png

I think that's termed a 'chop' if it's the artist's signature and I'd say Chinese then.
Someone here may know exactly who or what pottery it is though I wonder if Google Images would find it.

It is the period mark of the Chinese emperor Jiaqing, 1796-1820.

But is that an authentic period mark or one of those "honorifics" used later?

I'd say a later one, the period ones I've seen didn't have that double border. It is also off center.
