Help w/artist's name on carved wooden panel

This is the 2nd piece of art I found at a thrift store today. I think it's Haitian? But I can't say for sure because I can't make out the signature on the back - looks like Nev(?) to me for first name?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

I had something similar that I sold a few years ago. It was from Bali.

 

How much did you sell it for (if I may ask)?

 

I had three items from Bali that sold from $80 to $270 if I remember correctly. Wait for someone else to confirm my ID. There are some other countries that produce similar carvings.

 

Well I paid $25 for this piece + a hand painted 4 panel oriental screen, so either way I should come out ahead. You can see it in the Art forum where I posted it asking thoughts on it.
