Featured Help with a knife please

    Hello again
    This was from our grandmother in Switzerland but am honestly not sure what it is for. My initial thought was cake knife but have now seen paper knives which appear similar
    ? Age maker and use.     Bob has it right - a cake knife.

    We are going to need a better look at the marking. May be upside down.

    Maybe wedding cake knife? Has a ceremonial look to it.

    I never would have guessed a cake knife. I have never seen anything like that before. It is lovely. Glad better experts came along with info.

    I've seen cake knives like that. Usually for very soft delicate gateaux types, with much cream.

    Swiss 0.800 by Jezler, most likely late 19th-early 20th century - no length given, but looks like a cake knife to me...
