I would like your help on this print with gold leaf frame and bunches of grapes. The writing is from the poem Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam. It has a signature in the lower left of the print but I can't identify it. Could you tell me something more?
    Thanks again
    Giuseppe

Could you get a clearer close-up of the signature? It might help someone to identify the artist.

The signature is very blurry. I try to put a better picture. Whether Mhuzhanderi or something like that is written on it. signature.jpg

Khayyam's work was popular in the West during the late-Victorian era and in to the 1920s. It would be helpful if you provided photographs of your print both front and back including frame. (Frames are helpful for dating.)

Thank you. I would think that was early 1900s.

Hi Giuseppe. I see mostly the same letters you do, except it seems possible to me that the first letter is a D & there is an h that I see in a different place.

M/Dhuzandhe(o?)ri(?). The last few letters are very difficult. I really only see 'ri' if the writing changes to cursive.

    Thanks
It seems that it could be the western signature of an Indian artist but I can't find anything about variations of this signature on the internet.

When I followed another guess I found there is a place in Rajasthan called Dharamdhari.

Yes I saw it. Incredible to find out that these types of paintings were made by an Indian painter. I learn more and more about oriental art. Wonderful. At first I thought it was done by some painter from the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood.
