Can anyone tell me about this vase. I am having trouble figuring out the marking FD14B093-9353-4680-8545-B556EA02E715.jpeg 6F5814DE-38EA-4555-8E23-B00A733D75AC.jpeg

    That's very nice.
I think the markings on the bottom are the artist and not the maker of the vase.

Not sure it is hobbiest. Wait for other to comment.

Be sure to check back as people come and go at all hours.
    Welcome to the board.

I have been trying to figure out that marking but maybe it’s just signed by whom ever made it. It’s been in my family for well over 50+ years. Maybe I need to check the inside

Given the "hand writing" of the "mark" I think it more likely that the mark is whoever decorated the pot. not the manufacturer of the blank.

What do you think you will find "inside?"

Can you get a close up of the signature.
Might be a well known painter for a pottery company.
The numbers on the bottom would indicate possibly a shape/pattern number(guessing here)

It looks European. Are you here in the US or elsewhere?

I’m in the US. But I’m thinking most likely it came from somewhere else. Maybe somewhere from Italy or Germany (that’s where my great grandparents/grandparents were from). I’ll snap some close ups and post this afternoon.

Not that I'm sure what the letters are and I don't speak German however google tells me that tuschen is "paint in water colors" and tuscher is "pens". If it's a description of the technique rather than the painter then "paint in water colors" might make sense.

There are some numbers incised so perhaps there is maker info incised as well.

Interesting, I just assumed that was the makers marking. I will check the entire vase to see if maybe there might be some other marks as well. I will post some more pictures later on today.

Who are you thinking it may be? I can try Googling it (Sorry I forgot to log in before posting a minute ago so you may see this twice)

I wasn't thinking of anyone in particular.
Was asking for a closer picture of the name, I can't see it very well.
Which might help someone else as well.
