I think that is very likely. A gold wash perhaps.

 

Could also be tarnish. I've had some 100 yr pieces look gold-ish before a polish.

 

The outside still has a light gold color but the inside is a dull silver. I did polish it lightly with a sunshine cloth. I think it is sol old that it just lost the inside finish.

 

So after checking with a loupe, I don't see brass showing through in any of the bracelets. In addition, I also tried an earth magnet on them and none of them are even the slightest bit magnetic.

 

Those might just ring the bell!
