Help with artist information

That's oil paint under the signature.

 

Not knowing artist is a handicap. All of the above are clues and you may need to painstakingly explore. Just have fun doing it.

I have an interesting Art Deco print with an unknown artist's name on it. I contacted a better auction house for information. They could only provide general information that I knew. Years later I found answers on the internet.

It may be a dead end if they do not know the artist, but could provide other useful information. Just be sure to take sharp clear photos in natural light. If they are not impressed with it, you'll only get that one chance.
