If anyone can help with artist information it is appreciated
It is a chalk drawing. I believe the signature is helmich or helmick
Dating it to late 19th c to early 20th

Not saying it's bad, it's quite well done, but........ what a boring study it is, jeez

One man's meat... and all that. I quite like it.

Is it a painting, or a print?

    Could it be a theorem?

You've got the free will in life to paint whatever you want, maybe a fire at a whorehouse, or a chemical explosion at a meth lab

    Nah mos, just very disappointed

Gonna have to start painting myself, I'm sick of trolling through disappointing art

I had to look that up. It is an interesting method.
It looks freehand to me and I like it too. These oranges would look nice in a country kitchen or dining room.

Just because the theorem method is interesting...

I see plenty of paintings on these boards that I think are by rank amateurs, things that I feel are really deplorable daubs. Many times I've been tempted to leap in and say so, but what would be accomplished? So I sit on my hands.

This is undoubtedly naive, but I don't feel it's by a rank amateur. Whoever did it had reasonable control of the medium. There are many paintings here that I feel cannot say the same.

No, I don't have a favorite style. There's too much out there that's good - amateur and professional.

    There's certainly a lot I don't understand.

Mos, there's only one categorical realization with art that I find

Is it cool, or is it not !!!!! :)

A lot of people waste alot of time determining if a work of art is well painted or not

When the real realization is what they are painting, and the effect it has

Even if it were clearly signed, there's a very good chance you would not find additional info.

For all the artists you can find online, I think it's still a very small percentage of all the artists.

    *****
Needs an edit: this is reasonably signed - and still there's no additional information to be found (at least as yet).

Time to step back and focus on the art.
Even without knowing an answer, I am happy to have seen it. Thanks for sharing it. I'd go easy on the expectations though, people take their time to look and respond in a broad spectrum.

I have to say this that the colours are pretty enticing actually

But a pretty hard sell I would think giving subject matter
