Featured help with beaded necklaces and brooch

hi folks

a few jewelry pieces i picked up at the boot sale

i dont think the white one is ivory as it has no visible lines, has orangy spots ?

not sure what the other two are either ?

the bat brooch, i think must be chinese ?, but cant find one like it

any help at all appreciated

 

The "bat" is a dragon and the stone looks a little like larimar.

The first necklace looks like orange agate beads.

The second one looks like angel skin coral to me.

 

The enameled(?) paisley/boteh and the findings over the "coral" seem to match up with this piece. It is listed in Baubles, Buttons, and Beads: The Heritage of Bohemia by Sibylle Jargstorf (p. 160 -- another fabulous book!) as 1920s/30s and all glass.

EDIT: Granted. Designs were copied back and forth and from culture to market.

Thanks marie, the angel skin coral might be a great shout, been racking my brains thinking what it could be

i though bone my have been an option, but the beads are quite shiny

Oh, he's from Gablonz, so same direction, but you had the laser sight.

 

The dark blue one looks like lapis to me.

First beads are basically microcrystalline quartz (chalcedony), carnelian/cornelian in color, some cut from a banded agate formation.

I agree second set look like coral that really could properly be called 'angel skin'.

FWIW, I just found the exact same brooch (that you have, that @i need help linked to) in the aforementioned book as "possibly by Neiger, 1930s".

Yes, I just noticed. In all fairness to me, it was on another page. And I was looking for something cameo related.
