    Hello,

I have no idea what's the green "horn" made of.. is it glass ? Something else ? I don't even what terms to use for research... many thanks for your input ! :)

What a COOL piece! Clearly, it is a pin; but also has a bail for a necklace? What is the little round shape thing? and the little "knobbie" on the top of the first pic? Is the green thing hollow? Does it open? It does look like glass to me....and silver of course. Very exceptional!

I want to say it is a perfume holder - but that doesn't seem right, in as much as I'm thinking that it _doesn't_ open.
I wonder was it part of something else?
I'd suggest that it is something "needlework related"; but in all my days I've never seen any needlework accessory like it. Part of a chatelaine?

    Did you get it recently?

Wow! I'm staying tuned! Would love to hear more about it!

Sorry for not giving you all the information.. it is hollow and open at one end and think initially had a chain in the little "knobbie" to be worn as brooch or pendant.. It is approx. 3 inches long.
Yes, I got it recently and I bought just because it was unusual.. ;)

It's missing a "cap" on the open end.

Thank you ! So, it was some sort of container.. that's explains the "knobbie" as it was part of the lid... :shame::)

I'm nòt normally a fan of shell jewellery (good cameos aside) but this is a great piece. Really unusual.
