    Hi all!

I see items like this one online but haven't seen a frog (I think he's a frog!). Does anyone have information on these types of pins/brooches? Where would he have been made?

    Thank you!

Yes, he is a frog. It is from Colombia, and the emerald is a genuine Colombian emerald.
This is a typical Colombian quality souvenir, inspired by pre-conquest (pre-Columbian) art.

I have two gold and emerald pendants that are copies of pre-conquest mosquito figurines. Sounds creepy, but they are very sweet.

Hi! I tested him with a Presidium tester and the emerald checked out. I think the color is due to my poor photography skills :snaphappy::shame:

Emerald colours range from yellowish green - green - blueish green, so an emerald can be almost olive.
Emerald is the national stone of Colombia, that is why they use it so much.
