Sweet. For salt and pepper? Condiments? Two devilled eggs?
He seems to prefer the one to his left.

Broken link from EBay. Maybe you can find it. They said THIS on was Derby.

thanks for the info blooey, i hoped youd stop by

i did wonder that, it seems more like pottery than porcelain

i think i read that the blue tinge is indicative of a tin glaze

do we think genuinely old then ?

This KPM has some similarities, but looks as if other factories made their own versions. I like yours, the flowers and the figure are sweet.

I'd say yes, not sure how old, safe to say 19thc, could be earylish too - BUT that's just a guess. It's quite a bit nicer then those other ones ...trick to identity is finding out what was the ORIGINAL design before the others jumped on the bandwagon. It has French sensibility and I know Derby did a bit of imitative stuff but other factories did too. (later, like Minton)

Anyway, keep looking, good score Charlie, well done.

If English it would be porcelain too, but a bone china variant.

At very first glance, I got an Italian vibe, kind of nove rose (spelling?) type of painting. But I’m probably barking up the wrong tree.
