Help with ID on Japanese lacquer ware container

    This piece is 5" diameter at the top and 3" tall looks to have some age to it. The company NTS? shows up on some searches, but not much. I could find similar items with the silk tassle but not this shape, maybe for snacks or food? i get a 40's 50's vibe lol
