Can anyone help with information on this necklace? 7983D6C0-37DD-402C-9286-5CB87C5B7998.jpeg 3FDA2250-9DDB-401A-9430-F3B4EB8E564B.jpeg 9048E978-6EE6-40CE-8E02-6A338C613B0A.jpeg

It's not silver or makers marked, so it was likely cheap when it was made. The detail on the reverse says it's likely from before the 1950s, and the clasp appears to be no earlier than the 1930s (being that hook clasps were generally not used on necklaces up to that point under my understanding.). My best guess is you got a wierd, vintage piece of costume from the 40s.

I'd personally wait for someone else to come by and say I'm more than likely wrong, but take this into with a grain of salt.

I would think later but not possible to date confidently without a photograph of the entire chain and a measurement of its length. Agree not expensive in its time. And it's missing a dangler from beneath plaque.

She is very pretty but isn’t she showing rather a lot of....err......skin.....to be 1940s?. I thought that era was rather more prudish. Or am I just very naive?!

The plaque appears to be an interpretation of a Rococo era portrait. Perhaps inspired by a portrait of Mme. Pompadour.

I would think 1970s or later for this.
