That is the 'pois chiche' or 'chickpea' bangle, which is found throughout North Africa, the Middle East, Asia Minor and parts of former Ottoman Europe.
The protrusions on yours are spikes, not chickpeas.

 

There are local differences in the chickpea style, but as you can see the decorations all have a definite dome shape.
This is one of my Ottoman chickpea bangles, probably from Bulgaria:


And my three Yemeni chickpea bracelets. The one on the right has dents in several of the 'chickpeas', those were knocked in deliberately every time a woman had a child. The other two have decorations on the chickpeas.

That's really interesting, I had no idea ! The former owner of the bracelet had at least five, if I'm counting correctly..

I should call Madonna and ask her if she's interested in my bracelet... Anybody got her number ?

 

The mark looks like a French lozenge one, which would make sense if it's from one of the former French African colonies (Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, etc.).

 

Yes, they used the French lozenge carouche for maker's marks during the colonial period and even after. That is why it was easy to identify it as a maker's mark.
I wouldn't be surprised if some still use it, btw.
