Can anyone help date this painting maybe by the stretcher information? I cannot find a signature. It measures 21 X 26 inches 380C3EC1-D39B-4236-92CC-AE2B3A19D9C7.jpeg 889F8F29-22B5-47A8-9B9C-2D38CBDEF26F.jpeg 03CB427B-5942-4DB6-BAFA-D8AD78CB9523.jpeg

There are a few paintings listed on the web which have the same markings on the stretcher as yours. Where the date is given they seem to fall in the period 1910-1925. One or two notable artists.

There is a signature but very hard to make out.
Looked at artist Samuel Burtis Baker and it seems to match his style in landscape artwork

How did you arrive at Samuel Burtis Baker as a possible artist? And would you be kind enough to post an example of a landscape of his that you believe has similarities to your work?

I have had some luck in the past with signatures like that by using a UV light. Shut the room lights off, use the UV light, it can help to create a contrast between the 2 paint colors.
