Featured Help With Silver Marks Please - solved

    Hi all, a few bits of silver picked up at an estate sale, a couple that I need help with:)
    any information is appreciated

    the shakers have glass inside, I've never seen shakers with glass in them before. I just can't make out the name on the bottom

    this pair of salts are 1915 Birmingham but the maker is what I'm having trouble with. The letter 'J' shows fine, but the rest is a blur. If I tilt the piece I can see Ltd at the end and possibly an 'O' in front of that, so J. O Ltd. There is Jacobs and Ogus Ltd, but it shows as registered in 1919 which is after that date on these and on a cigarette case. Also, the shape of the cartouche looks rounded on mine. There is also a J O Ltd, but it has dates seen as 1919 1920 and brooch.

    not for long, once I take them apart they will be on the scrap pile:)

    they were pretty beat up so scrap was the only thing to do. If the mirrors are good, I sell them, but the brushes, combs etc are a hard sell anymore

    ok....just the brush doesn't look like it was ever used ...in the photo!!
