Help with Sliver/Plated? Asian/Middle-Eastern? Chased Bowl

A Thai ,Burma, Cambodia piece with Chinese marks similar to the top ebay link above.

Nice. I know she did a lot of humanitarian and charity work, but don't know of anything in Asia?

 

She had a houseful of stuff, some British Empire and a bunch of staff. Her lady's maid was a great friend to her and hence was given Stuff. She in turn gave it to my grandmother. Pa remembered the lady's maid in her old age: she was a woman of no little importance in that household, as her place in the hierarchy would have been up with the butler. At least.

 

I've cleaned a lot of green off sterling. Usually the result of sodium chloride.

 

Nice story nonetheless, and in those days many women would have loved to have been a lady's maid.

Silver and salt is not a very good combination. But this would be a bit big for salt.
