When I picked this up, I thought it was Turkish or somewhere Eastern. But it has London hallmarks for 1975. I'm now digging for who the maker is: looks like GSH I think. Very untypical clasp.

    Maybe looks like G&H?

It could be, staring at it again. Someone thought hallmarking a bark finish was clever!

There appears to be rust on the surface, odd for sterling. Maybe it was stored with something else that rusted. I would try a warm, soapy bath with a soft bristle brush to remove that if it is rust.
Maybe also try a Q-tip with silver cleaner in the hallmarks to see if you can sharpen up the images.

It was just muck and glare. I've had a go with a Sunshine, but it needs my ultrasound bath I think.
