Just found this at a glorious Midwest U.S. antique show over the weekend. It bears a plaque entitled "Musicienne/Par Flora(sculpt.). It's about 30" high U.S. by 14" wide. It's about 50 pounds of solid bronze. It was created in Paris, and my guess on the years would be 1895-1905.

The price was so good for a statue of this size and weight that I bought it immediately, no haggling. I've searched for it online, and found another for sale at 10 times what I paid for it. Not that it's sold, mind you. But still....it provides an idea of what it might be worth.

Anyway, it's a puzzle as to who created it. "Flora" as both the title of the piece and name of the sculptor seems a little odd. Can any of you sleuths figure this one out? Thanks!!
