Hello Everyone , I’m clearing out my Aunties home . She sadly went at Xmas and had a lot of stuff. I’m sure there’s a maybe a few valuable bits amongst the junk. It’s taking me ages to research anything. I really don’t know what to keep, give away or sell so would be grateful for any honest input . I love old vintage stuff anyway and my daughter collects toys so hopefully I’m in the right place for help and advice ☺️

You've come to the right place, @Ann Fletcher. You'll find lots of knowledgable and helpful people here. I don't want to complicate your life but don't throw anything away until you've done some research. Surprising things --
old cookbooks, ephemera, old packaging -- can sometimes surprise as to its value. As a quick & dirty resource, many of us use eBay's Sold listings to get an idea of where collector interest lies.

Welcome to Antiquers, Ann. We will do our best to help.
Don't be shy with the photos, show bases, marks, construction (in case of furniture), and please click on the 'full image' button when you post photos.

And this is an international forum so do tell us in what part of the world your aunt lived. And, when posting items, please share anything at all you know about them.

Welcome, and get the pictures started! As stated, we do need to know where you are and where your aunt was, at least a general location. Say Indiana USA, Portugal, Wales, etc. It can make a big difference.

Hi Ann! A good way to whittle down obvious things is to take a photo and run it through Google Lens to see comparables. If it's positively identified as nothing great you can move it to your yard sale or donate pile. If it seems to have worth, or you can't find an exact match, then that's a good thing to move to the "more research" pile for us. :D
