Another one of my Amsterdam School brooches, ca 1920-25. Love the hammered round floral shape, the minimalist engraving, and there is a nice Czech moonstone/Mondschein glass cab in the centre. Problem is, the glass cab probably came loose at some point, and someone glued it back using hot melt glue. Result, the usual blobs of amateur glueing. So I want to do a proper glue job on it, but first I have to remove the cab safely. Do you think the cab would survive the heat needed to remove it? Would it be better to soak it in alcohol? Photos are blurry due to shaking hands.:shame: And the moonstone glass actually has a reddish glow in it which came out yellowish in the photos. Thank you for looking.:)
