Pearls, I have a CVS online account that I can access from my laptop and that sends me emails. I think all the deals that come through via email are also accessible via the online account. I'm able to transfer any deals to the little card you use in the store, so don't need to use my smartphone for anything.

Taking a bit of liberty with the bottom of the sampler, if no-one takes offense, this is what I came up with....not being able to discern ALL of the letters in the last name or the vertical squiggle just before the 2 and the letter after the 7....at least that's my best guess.....

I don't like CVS either but they are the closest pharmacy to us. You can get one of their cards at the counter and then you use your computer to get the special coupons. I won't add those apps to my phone so they send me emails with the specials. You can also use the coupon stand they have in each store to put the coupons on your card. Pain in the A__ but every penny saved counts.

I found I'm able to put the discounts on the card from their website. Makes things a bit easier.

I hate that they raise their prices so they can give discounts, but then I find myself doing the same thing in my sales, so who am I to complain?

They know some of us (raises hand) don't pay full price for anything. Another reason I'm wondering what to buy with a 20% off full price merch coupon.

Latest News. Here is a link to the sale that the first 30 or so items from the hoard go up for sale.

    http://fieldingsauctioneers.co.uk/auctions/103

most are in the collectables section.

There is a lot of droolworthy stuff that's not mine,of course. Faithful readers may recognise some of the items if you pore through it.

Nice haul! Around here you can't give good pottery away, but then there is no Clarice Cliff to speak of.

Good luck with the sale -- I didn't remember exactly which ones were from the hoard, but imagine some of the clocks might have been? I like the miniature framed portraits from 1838. I don't recall those being from the hoard. Were they?

No. There are a string of lots from 803 and three in the silver starting with a Queen Anne spoon and a couple in pottery, some Prattware and some early tea bowls, etc. No clocks though, but there is a nice carriage clock in the sale that I will probably bid on.

Some lots have a chance to be surprising, so waiting to see will be hard. THe carved coconut flask is the type of thing that seems to do remarkably well there, sort of Ethnographical stuff.

Ah, I wondered if that was your coconut. My memory is so lousy these days I wasn't sure which items were yours.

Good luck, Af... hope they all do well!

I just thought I would resurrect AF's thread from 2015.

It was a result of this that spurred me on and I decided to go back into the house clearance business.

And here we are in 2019 and I now have 3 lockups 2 vehicles and a website. :D

Thanks for resurrecting this thread, @daveydempsey -- it will make a good read - again!
