Af, in one of your photos there's a framed something on the left side, under your table, that looks like a black and white drawing or embroidery. I'm curious what it is?

    I'll take a look later.

The sampler appears that say at the bottom that it was done by ___ Robinson Aged 27 -- is that what it says? I thought most of these were done by children, as practice. Shows that I don't know...

I'll take a look at that too.

The fans were nothing much and in poor condition.

What would happen if all the police happened to leave the building only to return and find the building and contents were deleted by a bulldozer?
    Oops mate. Sorry.

    I'd love to do it!
I did about 100k worth of repair, restoration, design embellishment and update myself on my 1914 Craftsman farmhouse. :)

The mystery object under the table is a piece of Chinese embroidery framed as a tray.

I tried again with the sampler but even looking at it in hand I could not make out that bottom line.

    1-P1040453.JPG

I am a bit puzzled by this next item, it must be fairly good but how good.

    1-P1040410.JPG

It is about 7 inches high.

    1-P1040411.JPG

And I know nothing about glass, so these little items are a mystery.

    1-P1040450.JPG

One base is smooth, the other seems to have a rough pontil mark.

I think Brad has it correct - Aged 12 Years - not 27. I *think* what we are seeing as the 7 is actually the Y in Years.

Me too, but it's interesting that the Y doesn't match the one in her alphabet ...or the 7 in her numbers.

& weren't the samplers done by pre teen & tween girls. !
27 seems a little on the ripe side for this....

Back up North tomorrow, to ensure that my contractor has finished the garden and garage clearance to my satisfaction, or somewhere near it anyway.

Then it will be all over bar the selling.

First still comes more sorting out, at the moment I am flitting from object to object with antiques attention deficet.

Here are a few more pictures.

Neatly framed so salable as is.
Wooden dumb-bells, no weight at all, what are they for?

    1-P1040424.JPG

Tiny table lamp, about 2 1/2 inches high. Pull a dangling chain and the lighter top springs up and still sparks.

I also know nest to nothing about ceramics, but this blue and white bowl caught my eye. Unusual or just junk?

Blue glass perfume bottle. Only a base metal mount worse luck

    1-P1040412.JPG

A bundle of one Rouble notes from before the revolution, in the bank wrapper they have been in since they became worthless. The notes are common, the original bank wrapper is unusual.

I have a nice lot of US broken bank notes but I'll post them on Coin Talk as more appropriate.

Your enamelled glass vase and jug are probably Bohemian, late 19th/early 20th C. The perfume bottle is delightful: blue milk glass, ormolu mount, maybe French, mid to late 19th. That will sell well. Blue and white bowl. I reckon mid to late 18th, tin glazed pottery in the Chinese style, but English. But let's see what other baked dirt people think.

Thanks, OBB, my feeling (divvy sense?) was that the bowl was worth picking up.
