I really was not in it for the money (although it is always welcome) but for the hunting and gathering, the thrill of discovery, the joy of unrestricted picking. I tried to do my best with the money side, but the real pleasure was finding stuff and then finding out what I had found. This is so true!!! I often find myself losing interest in stuff after I have done the research & would much rather go on to something else than actually putting it up for sale. There use to be an antique mall here in Columbia that was owned by a guy who had been doing this nonsense since the 1970's. He use to go up north to auctions & would come back with a semi truck load of stuff. The truck would be unloaded in the parking lot & he let everyone go through boxes totes, etc. When gas took a dramatic jump he would go to an auction every Monday in a town a couple hours away & would do the same thing on a smaller scale. I was always amazed at what I would find in those totes & boxes. My Tuesdays were always spent going through box after box from the time they opened to almost closing time. :joyful::joyful::joyful::joyful: He would let me plunder through boxes & pile everything in the back of my SUV till I was through. He would then give me a price for everything & in the 3+ years of doing this I never once walked away from the deal. I also never failed to at least triple my investment, often times doing even better.:smuggrin::smuggrin: Unfortunately he retired a couple of years ago. Oh how I miss my Tuesday plunderings!!! :(:(:(:(:( Peggy
