    Definitely Romper Room for me. And of course Captain Kangaroo and Lewis and Lambchop were favorites. Those were the days where some values were imparted on kids to be decent.

    I think my son was born the same year Mr. Rogers started. 1969 or maybe when he was a few months old. I saw a lot of it.

    And thus why everyone with any sense was fond of Lady Elaine. As a kid I missed a lot of the subtext (didn't know Friday the 13th was a Thing, for one) but His not-so-Majestic needed taking down a few pegs on a regular basis.

    BTW - I think Daniel Tiger now has his own animated show. I found flannel with him on it in a Free pile and promptly made a baby quilt out of it.
