Hello, I have this Windsor chair that I bought probably 25 years ago at an estate auction. It was described as 100+ years old then, but I really don't know how to tell. What should I look for to help me determine an approximate age of this chair?

Sure thing. I did notice some numbers stamped into the bottom which surely will help date it. I guessing its probably not as old as I had hoped.

I would guess 1940s or later.
    Early Windsors had solid seats.
L567 would be the company pattern number.

Been there. Done that. With a chair too - not a Windsor. Yours is nicer than mine. I still use it though. It has a less prominent place though.

Looks like a Connecticut Hitchcock chair. Any writing on the back of the seat?
