How to tell if sterling is rhodium plated

I've recently bought some vintage sterling marked ID bracelets. Most of them are very shiny. I only recently learned about rhodium plating.

Is there a solid way to tell if sterling is plated? I prefer a tarnished look to sterling. Some sellers say they polish, others don't.

Is rhodium plated jewelry stamped as such?

Appreciate any help! Can't seem to find any real information about this online

Here are a few pics of one of the bracelets in question:

It depends on where it was made and when. The majority of commercially made sterling in the USA has been rhodium plated since the late 1970's.There was no requirement to disclose rhodium plating until 2 years ago.

Thanks! Is there any visual way to tell just inspecting it or no? Would prefer not to artificially oxidize it

The bracelet above has a jhook clasp. Would that date it pre late 70s?

I haven’t seen any modern ID bracelets with this clasp.

Is there any other way to date a sterling bracelet?

They were everywhere through the 60/70's and probably later.

That clasp looks like a replacement to me but I’ve been wrong before.

Is it true that most sterling is rhodium plated since the 70s? I had just never heard of this. I've bought plenty of modern sterling and all of it tarnishes so I'm just confused. Trying to learn! It seems impossible to find actual information about this

For commercial made sterling jewelry made in the USA it is true. But sterling made in other countries I would not know since I do not buy jewelry,if I want a piece of jewelry I would make it myself. Hobbyist, students, artisans,Native American makers rarely rhodium plate their jewelry.
