Hubley? doorknocker

Hello again!
I picked up this little door knocker recently, and I have seen that some people have them listed online as Hubley. Did Hubley make these door knockers? How do you even go about researching that?

I did a google search and found that some people attribute them to Hubley and some don't give a maker. I'm wondering if there is an article or book or something where Hubley pieces are shown.

 

Found a little about door stops here, but it does mention that they sold moulds. It also says that not all had a mark.

You might also try contacting one of the sellers that identify it as Hubley, such as the one listing on Rubylane, and ask them how they identified it. One identified, or misidentified, example often propagates over the internet, confusing the issue.

She responded quite quickly and stated that in a Google search, I can find it with both with paint and without. I think I will list it as "attributed to Hubley" that way I can give the best knowledge I have. Thanks!
