huge bronze chinese axe

Just bought this 71 cm long solid bronze chinese axe, has anyone ever seen anything like it? the patination is artificial but a very cool piece. Love to hear your opinions.

 

Wow,that’s something and impressive in size. How much does it weigh?

 

i have to pick it up tomorrow but i gues at least 15-20 kilos. on my bike. WWHHAA

 

All of my D&D-loving cousins would want that to sit in a corner and look cool. It weighs enough to swing through an engine block, provided you can lift the thing!

Well fals alarm, it turned out to be cheap junk. badly hollow cast and poorly painted. So i didn't buy it. My apologies for al the comotion.

 

Chinese makers churn these and other 'ceremonial bronze weapons' out by the hundreds.

Cheap junk, or just made to hang on a wall and look cool for the gamer crowd? If it weighed a ton it would pull the hooks out of wallboard. A hollow decorator piece is easier to display.
