I have noticed that many people think the Austro-Hungarian style ended in the 19th century. It didn't. The heyday was from ca 1840-1870, but the style was very much part of the culture of certain parts of the Austro-Hungarian empire and its successors, including the very popular Bohemian/Czech costume jewellery. And you can still see it in contemporary pieces.
Amazing sleuthing, Cheryl. The information about the Communist era explains a lot. So do you think this bracelet could be 1960s?

At .835 fineness, would be no earlier than 1965/66.
