    They make scrapers that take single edge razor blades or utility knife blades, which would give you more to hang on to.

    It's really too late to say this, but in my experience, buyers want something as is. If I plan to sell an item, I give a detailed description and show all aspects. I would never have attempted to take this apart.

    I'm tardy to respond, but yes, you can sell this as is.
    I recently sold a 40" long ship "model" very similar, without a large base.
