I've sorta grown fond of my mary(what my grandad used to call his belly), you know when it's growing when you find it hard to tie your shoe laces

Years ago I found a steamer trunk on the curb - thrilling enough, but the thing weighed a ton because it was PACKED - and the contents still blow me away. A c. 1910 beaded gown, glass deco jewelry, 22k gold & citrine cuff links, the family photographs, and an entire Knights Templar ensemble dated 1918 - 3/4 length wool coat with sash & emblems, the case for MOS’ bicorn, a black skull cap with red velvet cross, embroidered epaulets, and a cap similar to the example in OP’s post with the bullion embroidered cross. The jacket fits as if it were meant for me (guess it actually was). One day I will get all of it out & photo the lot.

 

Holy guacamole. Now THAT was a curbside shopping find. That's a treasure trove!
