Any idea of the stone please?
    Some sort of Jasper?
Definitely not glass according to Mary.
Thanks for looking and any information:)

The only opaque stones I can think of offhand that are at all this color are lapis lazuli & azurite. The way the surface is catching the light in the pix makes them look more like ceramic to me. What do they feel like to the fingertips?

Hmm, could be. There is a small chip on one side and the colour stays the same but it could be a manufacturing fault. And Mary could be playing her games.
I’ll get my loupe and investigate further…..

Really? are you having me on? Did you just make that up?!:hilarious:
Persian donkey beads, whatever next
    Edit-
Agree, yes they would make nice earrings, that’s a great idea.

    Uhhmm.:angelic:
It is an actual thing, blue faience beads for protection. They put them on donkeys, but also on household goods. They are even worn by people, my mother bought a necklace with about 20 of them in an Oriental carpet shop in the 60s. They are collectable now.
    Cambodian piglet beads?:joyful:

Nothing would surprise me and I’m gullible enough to believe it:hilarious:. Then I’ll spout it off to someone on Facebook thinking I know what I’m talking about and some rivet counter expert will tell me off

Rivet counter expert? Sounds like someone with a serious case of too much time on their hands! But I'm glad to have learned about the beads!

It’s a term used for someone who is a classic car (or whatever the project is) restorers nightmare. Rather than applaud the overall effort and result, they criticise and point out minor detail that you have done wrong such used the wrong number of rivets (or the wrong colour shade/incorrect part etc /fill in the blank). When my OH was restoring classic LandRovers there was one particular man who attended all the classic car shows who definitely earned the name ‘rivet counter’ for criticising everyone’s efforts and pointing out minor errors.

Very similar colour. Thanks for posting :)
I’ll definitely be on the lookout for Cambodian Piglet beads too.
