Identify please

Well you didn't mention the size? We had a mustard pot run through here the other day, or perhaps it was for a can of condensed milk, it was said to have been missing a "saucer" beneath. Not sure if yours is small or not, how big is it?

I will say yours looks very new.

 

Oh, well I didn't really think size was important since I would think the mark should help identify!

 

size is always a factor......
a mustard pot.....could be a ginger jar....or a honey pot...or a condiment jar......

After researching porcelain marks, I'm almost positive this is Imari.

 

Duplicate posts can cause confusion and people doing research they may not realize is already done.

 

It is a matter of confusion rather than prohibition.

Many times ID's are acheived as a group effort as member's libraries of reference books vary greatly. So an item may be shown in certain editions of books or books by other authors. Discussion spurs ideas.

As INH said above it prevents needless research on the part of members.

The color combination might be described as Imari, but the piece appears to be very modern, and not hand painted.
