Identify some items?

Just posting some pictures of some stuff that is at my Moms house. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

 

Top: walnut dresser bottom with washstand top ca. 1890. Probably English

2nd from top: Eastlake walnut washstand also ca. 1890. I'm calling it a washstand because of the backsplash. Could be a desk, but I'll go with washstand.

3rd from top: Eastlake mirror, same vintage, walnut. Looks refinished. Pretty. Pieces like this are sometimes known as "Ohio Art Carved" furniture.

4th from top: Another walnut washstand with door for commode. The marble backsplash looks to be missing. Assuming the pulls are original, although I would have thought metal pulls for a piece of this vintage with yet another ca. 1890 date.

It all looks refinished, though that's not necessarily a bad thing at this price point.

 

What would that price point be?

 

I don't know where you are, so it might be misleading to say. In my part of the U.S. Midwest you would expect to pay about $100-$200 each for these at auction.

 

nice furniture.....
start a new thread for the paperweights......maybe some value there....and easier to dispose of !!!!

 

Not seen English washstands with a marble back, generally a mirror.

 

Think these English pieces with marble or tile backs are really servers.

 

I'd expect to see a cupboard base,not all drawers.
