We are pretty sure it depicts Austrian Cuirassiers in the 18th century (although this type of cavalry was similar across Europe). Turkish uniforms are not combat uniforms, they are most likely depiction of typical sartorial choices in the Ottoman Empire in the 18th century.</p><p><br /></p><p><img src="https://s23.postimg.org/hohwcuwzv/2-92+orygina%C5%82.jpg" class="bbCodeImage wysiwygImage" alt="" unselectable="on" /> </p><p><br /></p><p>Our guess is that this battle scene occurred in the Austro-Turkish War of 1716–18. Our guess is mostly based on the style of european uniforms of that time and very similar depictions of battle scenes in other paintings.
