Can anyone tell me where this necklace originates ? It belonged to one of My Great Aunts. My daughter checked years ago, & thought it came from Germany.

    Gorgeous!
Yes, yes and yes. My main suspects are Germany and the UK.
AbbyRose, does it have any marks? Germans also mark inside loops sometimes.

Speaks Murrle Bennett and Co to me (for the pendant), the chain clasp seems modern (replaced?).
Is it a mark I see on pic#2 on left?:cyclops:

Yes, I am leaning towards the UK, rather than Germany. Murrle Bennett is certainly a contender.
There is a strong British influence in certain German Jugendstil though, because of British Arts & Crafts artists who went to Germany and Austria, so Germany is possible.

From the Lang Antiques link above:

    "Specialties

    • Manufacturers of popular (Arts & Crafts & Art Nouveau) jewelry.
    • Jewelry Importers (Murrle was originally from Pforsheim).
    • Designs were often “adapted” from those used by Liberty & Co. and Theodor Fahrner"

That explains a lot. And Theodor Fahrner, yay! Love them for having made jewellery I can afford. Sometimes.;) I'll see if I can find a Fahrner pendant that could have inspired this beauty.

    To see together for comparison!
    Your mark seems partially struck...
Can't see well if it is marked Ct or K, too blurry...

Yup. British! If you can attribute it to Knox, it is a VERY valuable piece indeed.
