    These are piano babies, made in Germany, I had a pair that were painted, primarily orange clothes, green hats. Marked Germany on the bases.

    What are they made of? They look a bit like plaster.

    I'd wonder about them being reproduction. It would seem an odd thing to copy, but there was a 19th century ornate stuff craze for a while in the 80s. I wouldn't rule it out.
