    Just pretend that you are a Continental European trying to write in English from another language background.:playful:
    This could be significant, fid, he means that the family confirmed in an email that the tiles are authentic Scheurer, only from a very early period.
    It would be nice to have that in writing, of course, with a signature. But it is a start.

    I love everything you wrote here, yep, AF was correct, and I think you are an adorable gem of a member, thank you for weighing in with this post.

    The bottom line - "worth the price OP's willing to pay" and I don't see any possible rise in value beyond a brief pop and worth only the price OP is willing to pay.

    If I were the one who wanted to make this purchase, I would ask them for help to authenticate the work. I didn't realize the artist still alive (thanks Fid), but I would go straight to the source with my questions.

    So would I. Apparently it is too taxing on the artist in his current condition, but a signed authentication by the family member who looks after his legacy is important imo.
