Featured Interesting find but what is it?

I came across this little gem but don't know anything about it. Are there any knowledgeable people who can help me?

They look like wax impressions from engraved gems. They were popular during the grand tour and people had large collections. If you had the appropriate index, you could look up the numbers and know a bit about the source. With only the three, I imagine this is a later assemblage and purely decorative.

Thank you very much. I have been informing myself the whole time. They are very impressive little things and I know why people been collecting them. I was hoping to find out more about the numbers but didn't get the information I was hoping for. A little mystery! I love mysteries. The frame has a little sticker on the back. Whoever had it before me bought it from a Fine Arts Gallery in New Orleans. Unfortunately the place is of of businesses.
