Featured Inuit stone carving of seal - signed with disc number (and a surprise)

    The disc numbers would only have one letter in the prefix. E was for the eastern arctic and W for the western arctic. At first glance I thought it might have been a clumsy E2

    I thought it might be an E4 - but the "4" would be a bit different than the 4 in 1400.

    AFAIK the disc numbers were sometimes inscribed by the co-op worker when the piece was brought in, so very possibly by a different hand. No big deal.
