Is the last name Parker?

I'm thinking this is a water color painting and not a photograph.

 

It is a watercolor painting! I dug out my grain magnifier from my old darkroom supplies and it is definitely a painting.

This was in a lot of photographs that I purchased last winter. There were approximately 50 framed, hand colored photographs. Most of them were by Wallace Nutting or other well known photographers from that era, Fred Thompson, David Davidson, Royal Carlock, Standley, Sawyer, etc.

I just "assumed" that it was a photograph considering the way this is mounted and signed, and the fact that it was in with all those other photographs.

After reading his obituary which detailed his work as an artist, I was really hesitant to list it because I could not find another photograph by him.

Now I have to see if I can find some auction prices. You know that old saying about never assume.....
