Featured Is the stone in this ring lapis? What is the maker's mark?

Hello all! I recently bought this little ring, marked 925. The person selling it said the stone was just plastic. To me it feels cold and I can see faint flecks in it. Is it lapis? Or faux lapis perhaps? Also, I can't for the life of me make out the marks (my eyes are nearly crossed looking at them through a loupe!) Anyone recognize the mark or provide any insight into possible origin? Perhaps it is an artisan piece. Thanks as always

Dyed Random Pretty Rock, looks like. What's got my attention is the silver mark. Danish???

Danish? Interesting! I got it from the US so I assumed Mexican or possibly Native American but I really had no clue.

I agree. The blue is way off for lapiz.

I cannot see a Danish connection from the mark. Danish makers do not use such large marks - usually just their initials.

I see an M in a floral cartouche. (Or maybe I just want to see an M.;))
    Very nice Brutalist ring.

Mexico definitely did that type of Brutalist work but the stamping doesn’t look Mexican.

I can't see it being plastic but what stone it is I'm uncertain. With the inclusions, my first thought is Lapis. Perhaps ?

I had thought perhaps lapis but the consensus seems to be that it is a dyed stone-I know very little about stones so I bow to greater knowledge :)

Well, that's clear as mud! The stone is really dyed and didn't start life as lapis. Dyed lapis usually has a gray tone in the lighter spots, unless they've improved the process. I still can't read the mark, but maybe someone else knows Euro marks better.
